Bollywood Festival Norway

The 15th annual Bollywood Festival Norway opened with a great fanfare at the Lorenskog Hus Kino on 8th September. The opening day red carpet was graced by Bollywood’s Badman Gulshan Grover, National award winning director Madhur Bhandarkar, Amit Khanna, Singers Jaspinder Narula, Jassi Jasbir, Norway’s culture minister Linda Hofstad Helleland, Mayor of Lorenskog Ragnhild Bergheim & Mayor of Skedsmo Ole Jacob Flaten. The program was every bit as diverse as the event venues.
The Festival opened its doors to traditional & Bollywood dance performances by various dance groups, followed by an award ceremony where Gulshan Grover was awarded for his Indo-Iran film Salaam Mumbai & Madhur Bhandarkar as best director for Indu Sarkar. The opening film Badman opened to great response from the audience. Next film Indu Sarkar was equally loved.
On 9th September 2017 our most delightful event, the Bollywood musical night began with Vijaygopal trio who mesmerized the audience with their talented performance. The band is very eclectic in the genre as well as the era in its musical selection. Later the stage was torched by Singers Jasbir Jassi & Jaspinder Narula making the audience dance to their tunes.
Masterclass with Madhur Bhandarkar at Klingenberg Kjeller was on 10th September 2017 was moderated by Faridoon Shahryar of Bollywood Hungama. An event where Mr. Bhandarkar shared his experiences as a director & producer to all.  A seminar of Bollywood & business India with Mr. Amit Khanna was on 11th September 2017. The seminar highlighted the trends of business in Bollywood & India
.
Festival films were screened at venues, Lorenskog, Oslo & Lillestrom. All the films did well & were loved by one and all.
The closing ceremony on 14th September 2017 had Mr. Arjun Rampal walked the red carpet at Klingenberg Oslo along with Mr. Rahul Mittra & Raju Chadda of Wave group, India. A Meet & Greet session with Arjun Rampal was organized for all the fans in Norway. His film Daddy was the closing film of the annual event.
  
Before the screening, a Q&A session was carried out with Arjun Rampal giving a glimpse of his career & making of his film Daddy. Later film Daddy opened to all closing the event with cheerfulness.
