Celebrate Republic Day with Darmiyaan by Vikrant Mathur!

This Republic Day, DRecords brings Darmiyaan, a tribute to the Indian soldiers – the brave and patriotic sons and daughters of India! These soldiers selflessly serve their country to protect its people. The video and song both capture the emotional weight families of the soldiers’ bear. The full array of emotions is depicted in the song – from sacrifices to anger, from dejection to remorse, and the constant fear of loss that those close to the soldiers go through. Singer and composer Vikrant Mathur beautifully sings Darmiyaan. Vikrant is an established music composer who began his musical journey as a singer in Zee Antakshari, where he was second runner up. This beginning gave his creative spirit wings. Thus started a creative journey full of awards, great experiences and more learning!

Vikrant has composed for stalwart singers like Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan, among many others. He has also received the Rajasthan Award. Vikrant has successfully composed songs like Babuji that went viral last year on YouTube. He has also composed for various advertisements, as well as the BJP’s UP campaign anthem!

Darmiyaan happened when Producer and Actor Shahzad Khan approached Vikrant to compose a sad romantic song. Says Vikrant,

“I composed it and Shahzad immediately lapped up to it and even came forward to act the lead role. Ravi Yadav then gave words to this song and then Akbar Khan, Raj Aman, Shahzad finalized the story around the song which came out as a tribute to our soldiers, armed forces”.
