Hong-Kong native and new R&B artist, Jo-B Sebastian, arrives in New York City to live out his dreams. The soulful singer and songwriter recently debuted the music video for his single “Ghost” (formatted as Ghøst), which pays tribute to the borough of Brooklyn.
Being born in Hong Kong, spending his teens in the Philippines, and now arriving in New York City, Jo-B Sebastian hopes to continue his family’s musical tradition and strengthen the legacy his musically-rooted ancestors. He’s been a two-year featured artist at Philippine International Jazz Festival and, recently, a scholarship recipient from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Having a soulful style, Jo-B attributes vocal legends like Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Luther Vandross as his inspiration, along with retro synths and new wave from the 80’s. We’re excited to see the music Jo-B will continue to create!
