Are you ready for the Tabla Bass Movement?

If you like the Tabla like I do then you are about to love this video and the way it came up with the creativity of it! I know I did! Recognized as one of the most innovative and versatile music production teams by the BBC Asian Network and some of the industry’s leading musicians, brothers Dal and Manpreet Darroch aka M.U.M Music are due to release their hotly anticipated debut single ‘Drop the Bass’ on 30th January 2015.

The single features M.U.M Music’s signature sounds; bass driven with electronic synths, the types of which you would be accustomed to hearing at some of the most popular electronic dance festivals, while their Eastern influences brings together the Indian ‘Tabla’ drum offering high octane Indian beats to an electronic composition. These sounds, coupled together provide a unique listening experience termed by the production duo as ‘Tabla Bass’. Think M.I.A, Chase & Status and Skrillex – blend them together to make M.U.M Music!

Drop the Bass is released alongside a stylistic music video (below) shot over London’s skyline telling a refreshing story of three dancers who navigate an urban landscape to finally arrive at an exciting M.U.M live gig as told through the eyes of talented director Zaki Solosho. The video is set to receive global airplay. ‘Drop the Bass’ will be the precursor to M.U.M’s second EP set for a summer time release which will give rise to the ‘Tabla Bass Movement’ pioneered by the duo.

So don’t take our word for it – drop the bass and turn up the volume on this video! We guarantee you will love the tabla even more.
