A first Look at the Ali Zafar's "Chashme Baddoor"

After months of waiting, Ali Zafar’s fans are in for a treat. The much anticipated remake of the Sai Paranjpe’s 1981 classic, Chashme Buddoor, in which Ali Zafar plays Farooque Shaikh’s character, is coming to cinemas on 5th April, 2013! To sate the eager fans the studios have not only released the promo poster with Ali Zafar smack in the center, but also the official trailer.

Ali Zafar - Chashme Baddoor

When asked to comment upon the project Zafar said,

“When I saw the original Chashme Buddoor, I knew that the plot must retain its authenticity. Also, while it must have been a challenge to render it into modern times and aesthetics, David sir has done a brilliant job. It’s a family entertainer. I think we are all excited about it.”

As remakes go, Bollywood couldn’t have picked a more popular film to modernize, but with Ali Zafar in the lead role they couldn’t have been more spot-on with the casting. Zafar who has mesmerized us with his musical talent and low-key art exhibits which he often auctions for charity, continues to test the boundaries of the entertainment industry and continues to impress us with his range.

With two more films already in the pipeline, there is no doubt that 2013 will be an eventful year for Pakistan’s Golden Boy, Ali Zafar. Stay tuned for the film which is set to release worldwide on April 5th, 2013!
