IIFA celebrations were in full swing this weekend as the Bollywood fraternity arrived in Toronto for the biggest Bollywood event in North America. Shweta’s performance at IIFA Rocks with Salim & Sulaiman, one of Bollywoods most talented composer/producer teams, was simply mindblowing. Salim & Sulaiman have worked on ‘Band Baaja Baraat,’ ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi,’ ‘Fashion,’ ‘Neal n Nikki’ just to name but a few.
She even sang a song from their forthcoming movie – ‘Azaan,’ for the first time ever on stage at the IIFA Rocks event on June 24. The song called ‘Bismillah’ was sung LIVE on stage, where nominees and guests from the IIFAs were present. You can check out a fan video below or view photos here!
Salim said, “Shweta is a bundle of talent and will go far. She is a gem of a find in Canada and working with her is a lot of fun.” The show was co-hosted by Karan Johar and Anushka Sharma. Other well known acts at the show were Sonu Niigaam, Jermaine Jackson and Shankar Ehsaan Loy.
