Indian Representation Abroad
Indian fashion blogger, Masooma Minawala Mehta makes her Paris Fashion Week debut with quite the statement. We recently witnessed all the international noise Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made for L’Oreal’s runway. Here’s a look at Masooma’s killer outfits and statement fits. She is the CEO of the fashion portal, Style Fiesta and one of the leading Indian digital content creators in the world. With over 1 million followers, Masooma represents India and Indian fashion in the most stunning manner and stellar appearances.
Taking India Abroad
Undoubtedly, she is on the voyage to put Indian fashion designers in the global fashion arena. Because Masooma chooses to use her platform to elevate local talent. She states that the artisanal work currently present in India has thought, emotion and culture. Consequently, she sees the benefit the world would have from Indian fashion; hence, wore a few Indian designers during fashion week.
She has previously stated that Indians understood it way before anyone else that fashion is an expression of yourself and an embodiment of your culture. Furthermore, she points out that sustainability in fashion might be a recent trend for brands; however, sustainable fashion existed in India for eons.
What it Means to Her
Evidently, she expresses joy and excitement to her followers on Instagram and what Paris means to her:
“Touchdown Paris SO excited for fashion week!!! I have missssssssed this.
I’m sure a lot of you don’t know this but Paris was my first ever solo work trip. Maybe that’s why it holds such a special place in my heart.
It was a time in my life where I was extremely lost, looking for direction & extremely alone. And to add all of that, this city only made me feel more overwhelmed. Paris – you broke me down, but in that process, you taught me how to lift myself up.
And for that, I’ll never stop coming back to you!”
Outfit Rundown
Here’s a look at some of her exquisite Parisian street style looks below.
First, strolling down Parisian streets in patch placement denim coat and jeans from Saaksha & Kinni, Valentino shades, Bottega pumps & Chanel bag.
Next, a vibe for Hermes’s fashion show in Vaishali S Couture.
To continue forth, an emerald queen with an Imad Eduso collection, Aspinal of London bag, and Prada shoes.
Let us be honest, the chicest look as she twirls around in Sapphire Flare from Suffuse by Sanaya Sir.
Finally, a boss babe if we ever saw one in Louis Vuitton.
All in all, Masooma Minawala took Paris by storm, made India proud as she elevates South Asian designers, and we absolutely love it!
