The Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015 has started on Tuesday with the Sabyasachi event and it will celebrate 15 successful years of the bi-annual event. We will see 83 designers and 15 sponsors participating in the event. Names like Raghavendra Rathore, Tarun Tahiliani and Wendell Rodricks, Kiran Uttam Gosh, Krishna Mehta, Manish Malhotra, Suneet Verma, and Shivan and Narresh will partake in the fashion show.
During the show, Sabyasachi Mukherjee had a modern take on Indian clothing. The 70s were brought back with retro shades, floral prints, shimmer and accessories. There was no trend left untouched at the show. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite Bollywood celebrities at the event.
Sri Devi looked stunning in Sabyasachi saree. She wore her hair in a tight bun and went with minimal accessories to show off her gorgeous saree.
Deepika Padukone decided to wear a floral floor length gown by Sabyasachi. The actress sported a berry lip and paired her outfit with a red belt and clutch.
Kajol was spotted at the event in a Sabyasachi outfit as well. She wore her hair in a bun and went the classic red lips. She paired her outfit with nude pumps and gorgeous drop earrings.
Rani Mukerji showed up in a Sabyasachi saree. The actress’ saree is definitely one of our favorites. The black, gray and gold combination looked stunning on Rani. She kept her look very natural without any dramatic makeup.
Kiran Rao showed up at the event looking chic in a gray top and black leggings.
Neha Dhupia wore a gray and nude colored dress. It seems buns are the thing in Lakme Fashion Week as Neha was also sporting a tight bun. She paired her look with a brown clutch and dramatic eyes.
Kalki Koechlin showed up in a gorgeous floor length printed gown with matching hairband.
Irrfan Khan wore a traditional black and gray sherwani.
While Farhan Akhtar chose a more formal look in dress pants, shirt and sweater.
