Another Indian bride has recently walked out of her wedding! This one, however, did not marry a guest at the wedding unlike the previous one we reported. Both of these brides are from Uttar Pradesh. According to the police at Uttar Pradesh, the bride, Lovely Singh walked out of her wedding after asking her groom-to-be, Ram Baran to add fifteen plus six. When he answered seventeen, she called off the wedding.
It is reported that the groom’s family tried to convince the bride to change her mind and return to the wedding, but she refused citing that she does not wish to marry an illiterate. The local police say that they mediated between the bride and groom’s families and both sides returned all the gifts given prior to the wedding day.
Speaking to a leading daily, the bride’s father claims that the groom’s family kept them in the dark about the groom’s poor education. What do you think about this? Let us know in the comment section below.
