It was a full-circle moment wrapped in admiration. Inside the halls of Harvard, ahead of the annual India Conference’s, global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas paused the spotlight, and turned it toward the interviewer at the South Asian Trailblazers Podcast.
“Thank you for doing what you do. You’ve spoken to such incredible people, you ask such astute questions. You’re a trailblazer in your own right,” she said warmly to Simi Shah the CEO and host of South Asian Trailblazers

What started as a college passion project for Simi Shah, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and Harvard alumna, nine seasons later, grown into a global platform spanning 93+ countries and spotlighting over 90 influential leaders, from Fortune 500 CEOs to cultural icons.
With Anjula Acharia acknowledging the impact of the platform. “You’ve really been a platform for our community to be celebrated,” Anjula said, highlighting how vital that visibility is. Priyanka agreed, continuing the thought with equal conviction “That’s so important. We have to stick by it with each other, and you’ve given a platform to so many of us in our diaspora to shine, so keep doing that.”
At its core, South Asian Trailblazers was built to create narrative ownership. And in that moment at Harvard, the interviewer became the inspiration, celebrated by the very icons she has spent years spotlighting.
