Strings of Continuity: Shemaroo Bengali Music Unveils Soumita Saha’s Soulful Sequel
Shemaroo Bengali Music once again becomes the canvas for a poignant musical narrative as the second song, “Tumi Kemon Kore Gaan Koro Hey Guni,” from the innovative musical series album Rabir Kirone Sarbajit O Bondhura – 2 makes its much-celebrated release. Rendered in the evocative voice of Soumita Saha, the song has been receiving an overwhelming response since the day it premiered on Shemaroo Bengali Music’s official YouTube channel on 18th December.
Beautifully arranged and melodiously delivered, the song carries a quiet intensity that lingers long after the last note fades. The music video, featuring Rima Bose, Mausam Sarkar, and Anusua Das, is set against the freshly adorned locales of Kolkata’s Eastern Metropolitan Bypass. Through tender frames and restrained performances, it weaves a delicate tale of heartbreak and emotional aftermath.
What makes this musical web series truly distinctive is its narrative continuity. Each song unfolds as a sequel to the previous one. “Tumi Kemon Kore Gaan Koro Hey Guni” continues the emotional journey that began with the album’s first song, “Phooley Phooley,” also sung by Soumita Saha, making the visuals an inseparable extension of the album’s soul. The project is produced by SRL Motion Pictures and Sarbajit Ghosh, adding cinematic depth to musical storytelling.

“I keep experimenting with various genres, and Rabindrasangeet happens to be one of my favourites. I have thoroughly enjoyed creating the audio and shooting the visuals for this song,” shares Soumita Saha.
Beyond being a gifted vocalist and playback singer, Soumita is an acclaimed composer and songwriter, whose self-written and self-composed works for herself and other artists have earned immense appreciation. Her creative journey also extends to projects that have travelled across international film festival circuits, with her musical and artistic contributions showcased in festivals across Europe and Asia, further affirming her global artistic footprint.
A multifaceted creator, Soumita Saha is equally celebrated for her work in art and literature. Currently, the songbird is immersed in two significant pursuits — working on her debut book and composing the title music for it, promising yet another intimate fusion of sound and storytelling in the near future.
