Television star Rajiv Adatia has always been known for speaking his truth without fear. Whether it is about social harmony, human dignity, or national values, Rajiv never shies away from taking a clear stand.

He firmly believes that having a public platform also comes with moral responsibility and once again, he proved why his voice matters.
Recently, Rajiv Adatia reacted strongly to a controversial and disturbing incident involving Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during an official function, where the Chief Minister was seen removing the niqab (face veil) of a Muslim woman doctor on stage.
The moment sparked nationwide outrage and drew sharp criticism from political leaders, activists, and public figures across the country.
Several leaders from Jammu and Kashmir condemned the act, calling it a serious violation of a woman’s dignity, religious freedom, and personal autonomy. Former J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti expressed shock and questioned whether such behaviour reflected the normalisation of public humiliation. Leaders including Sakina Ittoo, Imran Ansari, and Inam Un Nabi termed the incident “deeply disturbing” and “indefensible,” while former actor Zaira Wasim also voiced her anger, stating that power does not give anyone the right to violate a woman’s boundaries or beliefs. Many demanded an unconditional public apology.
Amid this wave of reactions, Rajiv Adatia’s message stood out for its clarity, courage, and emotional strength. Taking to social media, he openly condemned the act and wrote:
“A Chief Minister pulling a young girl’s niqab is not just shameful—it is an abuse of power and a direct attack on her dignity, faith, and personal freedom. In India, we are ONE. This nation stands on unity, respect, and the celebration of all religions, not intimidation or humiliation. No one—no matter how powerful—has the right to touch, control, or disrespect another human being’s beliefs or personal space. This act goes against the soul of India and the values enshrined in our Constitution. It is unacceptable, indefensible, and deeply disturbing. A public, unconditional apology is the bare minimum. It’s disgraceful and shameful that such people are in power!”

Through his strong words, Rajiv reminded everyone that India’s true strength lies in unity, respect, and coexistence. He emphasised that acts of humiliation go against the soul of the nation and the constitutional values it stands for.
Once again, Rajiv Adatia proved that being a public figure is not just about fame—but about standing up for humanity, dignity, and the powerful idea that in India, “we are ONE”.
