Actress Adaa Khan, who is known for Naagin, says that TV needs to bid adieu to regressive content. Recently, actress Kavita Kaushik said that she won’t be part of TV anymore due to its outdated content.
“Kavita Kaushik’s decision to quit the industry over content issues is a powerful statement. It highlights the need for drastic changes in storytelling. This act of standing up for one’s beliefs should prompt the industry to reflect on its current practices and embrace more progressive and varied narratives. It’s a clear signal that there is a demand for better, more inclusive, and innovative content,” she says.
She adds that actors need to stand up for better content.
“Actors have a significant role in advocating for better content. By choosing roles that align with our values and speaking out about the need for progressive storytelling, we can influence change. Additionally, by supporting and collaborating on projects that push boundaries, we can set examples and inspire others in the industry to follow suit,” she says.
