Before Bigg Boss 16 could air, there was much buzz around whether or not Ankit Gupta will be part of the new season or not. To fans’ delight, Ankit was formally announced as a contestant on the first day first show of the season.
Ankit has been a much-loved actor for many years now, especially after his role as Parth Kashyap in the youth drama Sadda Haq. He also had a brief appearance in Kundali Bhagya where he was seen in a negative role. It was however his role as Fateh Singh Virk in Udaariyaan which made him a household name. His character of Fateh was well received and his chemistry with co-star Priyanka Chahar Choudhary won everyone’s hearts. Priyanka is now also seen alongside Ankit in Bigg Boss 16, and here too, the fans are in awe of their bond and chemistry.
Ankit has been one of the quieter contestants so far however the viewers have appreciated how real and natural he comes across. Ankit has slowly but surely been opening up, and the viewers are getting to learn more about him. In the latest episode of Bigg Boss, a captaincy task took place between Shiv Thakare and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. While most of the housemates were seen supporting Shiv, Ankit stood strong beside Priyanka to help her in the task. The viewers and fans enjoyed seeing Ankit performing well in the task despite various hurdles fellow housemates threw his way. Ankit kept his cool and calm and did his best to help Priyanka win.
