Why is Sidharth Malhotra Trending on Twitter After the Filmfare Awards?

The 67th Filmfare Awards were held in Mumbai last night, with several actors taking home awards, including Vicky Kaushal (Best Actor Critics for “Sardar Udham”) and Kriti Sanon (Best Actor Popular for “Mimi”). However, it’s actor Sidharth Malhotra, who was nominated for Best Actor Popular, who is trending on Twitter after Ranveer Singh won the award in that category (for his role as Kapil Dev in ’83’).

Many viewers believe that Sidharth deserved the Best Actor Popular award, for his role as Vikram Batra in “Shershaah”, which also won Best Film at the Filmfare Awards. “Shershaah” was released directly on Amazon Prime, and was considered a massive success, while ’83’ did not make a profit at the box office.

“Shershaah” received the highest number of Filmfare nominations, and director Vishnuvardhan won the Filmfare Award for Best Director. The film was produced by Karan Johar, and starred Kiara Advani opposite Sidharth Malhotra.

It seems that although Sidharth didn’t win the award, he has won many hearts!
