Star Plus’s Yeh Hai Chahatein has managed to win the hearts of audiences around the world. The show is filled with heart-warming family moments and great performances by the cast. Another major plus point for the show is the enchanting chemistry between Abrar Qazi and Sargun Kaur Luthra in their roles of Rudraksh and Preesha respectively.
Following the disappearance of their newborn, the show has recently taken a one-year leap. The leap has brought in some major changes. Unfortunately, the fans’ beloved RuSha have been separated once again due to the evil plans of Armaan while Revati lingers around.
So while it is a tough time for both Rudra, Preesha and their family, it is a tough time for the fans too. So how about a look back at some classic #RuSha moments to put a smile on your face!
The First Interview
Rudraksh and Preesha won many hearts even among Rudraksh’s music fans on the show. To celebrate the success of this power couple, Rudraksh and his family appeared on a live television chat show. It was called Chat with Chetna. While the host loved the responses, the show took an unexpected turn. The chandelier eventually fell and Rudraksh and Preesha fell just below it to save themselves. While this happened, glitter and confetti filled the air, and so did sparks of their chemistry! Hawayein from Jab Harry Met Sejal also played in the background!
Onam
Rudraksh came across an advertisement about the South Indian festival Onam. To surprise his ‘wifey’, he invited Preesha’s parents over to celebrate the festival. The entire cast looked elegant in their South Indian attire. It was during this that Rudraksh found out that Preesha’s family does not celebrate Onam as they are Tamil and the festival is celebrated by Malayali families. This not only broke a stereotype but Rudra’s cute gesture was appreciated.
Rudraksh’s award ceremony
Rudraksh Khurana is no doubt an icon. To celebrate his contribution to music, he was awarded the ‘music icon’ award. While everyone’s favourite villain Yuvraj Pillai was around with a plan, Rudraksh and Preesha shared some lovely moments. As Preesha came down the stairs, Rudra imagined himself with Preesha while ‘Chand Mera Dil’ played. Later on, they both danced to ‘Raabta (Kehta Hain Khuda)’ from ‘Agent Vinod’.
The Honeymoon in Ooty
After many challenges, Rudra and Preesha decided to go on a honeymoon to Ooty. Rudraksh was seen pulling Preesha’s leg on many occasions. The two also shared a memorable boat ride.
The chai moment
Fans have always associated chai with the show after some fun off-screen segments with Abrar and Sargun. To add to this, there was a dream sequence on the show whereby Rudra and Preesha were at a chai stall. ‘Shayad’ from ‘Love Aaj Kal’ played in the background and since then, the song became associated with the couple. Many popular GIFs of this moment were shared on social media too.
