Jai Matt and ROYAL began working together in early 2020, releasing a cover of “Oh Oh Jaane Jaana” and have since developed a creative vision to combine their sounds and ideas. They aim to release more music that blends the traditions and textures of Bollywood with the American landscape they have been brought up in.
Desi fusion music has always been about identity, and this collaborative series between Jai Matt and ROYAL marks the beginning of an evolved identity. Most recently, they released the single “Tu Kehle Abhi” in February, further establishing their brand.
Above all, they have certainly fired up fans with this new single! The synth loop on ‘Jaaneya’ and percussion provides the catchy base of the song that creates the perfect summer soundscape. Lyrically, the record talks about the freedom felt after getting out of a toxic relationship.
