Murad Khetani Overwhelmed By Love Kabir Singh Received After producing entertainment delights like The Shaukeens, Mubarakan & The Notebook, under his banner Cine1 Studios, Murad Khetani marked a milestone for himself in Bollywood for giving a massive hit in 2019 with Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. The intense love story created a huge wave of excitement and made everyone fall in love with Kabir & Preeti and their sweet relationship.

Kabir Singh was a huge success at the box office and applauded for its original album. Being the talk of the town post its opening weekend, it further continued its reign over audiences by a successful television premiere.

The film celebrates its successful one year tomorrow and producer Murad Khetani is looking forward to giving a series of films to the audiences with different kinds of experience and excitement.

Kabir Singh was one of the most successful movies of 2019. Did you expect it to be such a massive success & the music is still one of the most heard albums?

There was immense excitement while we were making Kabir Singh. The challenge was to rediscover and recreate the magic without losing the soul of the original film.
By the time the film was made I was certain this film would touch the hearts of the audience so you can say somewhere I knew it would be a successful film, that said, the kind of love the audience gave this film was overwhelming, to say the least.
I always knew the music was the heart of this film and will mark the progression of the character which is why we went for an original album where each song was chosen diligently keeping in mind how the protagonist was feeling at that moment.
That is why I feel it struck a chord with the audience and is still loved.

What is the kind of stories you want to support and give your audiences?

I always want to know what makes everyone tick; which is basically the crux of my choosing any content for my audience
I believe cinema needs to resonate with what our audience wants and wishes for
Every film is made for the audience and they need to leave the theatre feeling fulfilled
As creators, I believe we need to let the audience tap into their feelings, hopes, and dreams through cinema. I look at these criteria to be met in any content I choose to back.

What do we see next coming from your umbrella?

After a successful association in Kabir Singh Bhushan Ji & I are looking forward to collaborating again. Cine1 studios with Tseries will be doing Sandeep Vanga’s next together which he is writing. We are also producing BB 2 staring Kartik, Kiara, and Tabu, and Hindi remake of Tamil hit Thadam starring Sidharth Malhotra.
Plus there are a few that I will talk about when the time is right.
