NEET 2020 Syllabus Highlights

Now that you are aware of the NEET 2020 Examination syllabus, we are going to discuss some very quick highlights of the syllabus now.

 

Marking Scheme – each of the correct answers will be awarded with 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted from the paper for an incorrect answer. However, no mark will be deducted in case the candidate chooses to leave it unanswered. All the questions that will have two or more options, will not be considered correct by default. 1 mark is going to be deducted for all such answers.

 

Number of Questions – the NEET exam consists of 3 important subjects – Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Chemistry and Physics will have 45 questions from each of the sections. Biology, on the other hand, will consist of 90 questions. It has two different sections – Botany and Zoology. Each of the sections consists of 45 questions.

 

Marks and Duration – NEET 2020 Examination will have a total of 720 marks in total. Each subject will hold significant importance in influencing the overall marks. Each correct answer will get 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for a wrong answer. There will be 180 questions in the paper. Candidates will get 3 hours or 180 minutes to answer the question paper.
