Natu’oil Giving Back To Community Amid COVID-19 Crisis

The Greek philosopher Aristotle once said, “We are what we repeatedly do.” The quote has often been used to define excellence, not as an act but as a habit. For Malaysia-born Port Coquitlam businesswoman and philanthropist Hema Bhatt, the focus has always been on giving back to the community. Hema and Haresh Bhatt own the Bhatt Group of Companies with the head office, Natu’oil Services Inc., based out of Port Coquitlam which has interests in North America, India, Singapore, and Malaysia.

In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, the group of companies has decided to contribute to communities internationally. Natu’oil Services Inc.,(Canada) has generously stepped forward to help by providing 500 meals and 50 food hampers to CityReach Care Society in Port Coquitlam. Natu’oil India Private Ltd.(India) has contributed donations to the Prime Minister’s Fund. Global Agri-trade Corp., (USA) has provided aid to the Gardena Food Pantry in California to eliminate food insecurity for families in crisis and Pro Natural Resources Sdn Bhd (Malaysia) provided much-needed funds to a care home for the poor and homeless elderly.

Hema’s philanthropic side comes from her humble beginnings and her father’s teachings – to share whatever you can, no matter what your circumstances may be.

“The culture of caring was present from the day Natu’oil Services Inc., began its operations,” says Hema. “In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, our company is doing its best to support communities, both locally and internationally.”

Natu’oil as part of the Bhatt Group of Companies specializes in international trade of palm oil-based ingredients for the animal feed and food manufacturing industries. It also distributes the Olera brand of Certified Sustainable palm shortenings and oils as well as Copia coconut oils and is a member of Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil with a certified supply chain status.
