Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari: Kangana Ranaut is a chameleon who merges into the colors of her character

Kangana Ranaut is an amazing actress who has impresses all right from her debut film Gangster (2006). The actress has played a variety of memorable characters. The actress gets into the skin of her character and that is clearly evident with her performances in Fashion, Queen, Tanu Weds Manu, Panga and more.

This year, Kangana is all geared up to win everyone’s hearts with Thalaivi – a biopic on actress turned politician Late Jayalalithaa. From learning Bharatnatyam to gaining weight, Kangana is doing her all to nail the character. Her looks from the film have been receiving a lot of praise as well.

One person who is all praises for Kangana is her Panga director, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. When asked about her she said,

“Kangana is an actress who will go to any lengths for her character. She feels every character, she forgets that she is Kangana. She is a chameleon who merges into the colours of the character and that is amazing talent to have, to be protected.”

Ashwiny has worked with Kangana on Panga and the filmmaker decided to surprise her by visiting her on the sets of Thalaivi. She adds

“I went to surprise Kangana on the last day of her shoot of ‘Thalaivi’. She was doing the kathak sequence, whose picture was shared with the media. She had gained a lot of weight and I asked if she was competing with me and I jokingly told her that now we need to lose weight together”

Based on the story of legendary actor turned politician, Thalaivi is a trilingual film that also stars Arvind Swamy. A Vishnu Vardhan Iduri and Shaailesh R Singh production, the film is a Vijay directorial. Thalaivi will release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on June 26, 2020.
