DIOR

Feminity, Power & Positivity! Maria Grazia Chiuri who is the creative director of the house did a fantastic job. Focused on showcasing the art of texture, metallic colours and layering featured heavily at DIOR. The show was reminiscent of being transported back to Ancient Greece with beauty being soft and supple. Glowing skin and intricate veils entwined with headbands created an elegant feel to the collection. JUDY CHICAGO® who is a feminist artist designed the set for DIOR.

 Jacquemus – “L’ANNÉE 97” – Men’s Fall/Winter 2020

Young and handsome Simon Porte of Jacquemus seems to have done it yet, again. He has a natural flair for staying true to his roots but consistently seems to captivate the audience to want that French quaint countryside look. A simple but never the least, powerful collection. Holiday blues begone! In addition, his infamous cult classic mini bags were showcased. Available both for men and women which, were extremely well-constructed. Not to mention all of the models were bronzed and beautiful even though it was only a Fall/Winter show. Got to love Jacquemus!

Zuhair Murad Couture Spring Summer 2020

We cannot simply write an article about Couture and not mention Zuhair Murad. The Lebanese designer paid homage to the royal queens and princesses who ruled during the Ancient Egyptian civilization. Intricate breastplates with hand-laid bejewelled crystals and long golden gowns with capes that tribute the holy deities of the civilization. Heavy features of gold, silver, vermillion red and black and mesmerizing turquoise took inspiration from the beauty regimes of the great Egyptians. A stellar worthy collection!
