Salman Khan and team Dabangg 3 are doing their all to promote the third installment in the Dabangg franchise. Salman Khan is all set to reprise his role as Robinhood Panday aka Chulbul Panday. While all this is good news for the team, Dabangg 3 is now in some trouble aka a new controversy.
As per reports, a Hindu organization named Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has asked the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to put a halt to the film’s certification. If you’re wondering why this has happened, we have the answer.
In the recently released title track of Dabangg 3 – Hud Hud, Hindu Saints and Sadhus are seen dancing along with Salman Khan. The actor even seeks blessings from three men dressed as Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma. As per the organization, this depiction has hurt the sentiments of Hindus and the imagery of the sadhus. The sadhus in the song are shown with guitars and other instruments which they feel is derogatory for real sadhus.
The organizer of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Sunil Ghanwat, for Maharashtra and Jharkhand states has raised the question about the film and has asked,
“Sadhus have been shown dancing with Salman Khan in a hideous and objectionable manner. As a result, the religious sentiments of all Hindus have been hurt. The way in which Salman Khan has degraded Sages, will he dare to show Mulla-Maulavi or Father-Bishop dancing similarly?”
Talking about the film, Salman will fight against two antagonists– Sudeep and Nikitin Dheer. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role as well as debutant actress Saiee Manjrekar. Saiee will play Chulbul Panday’s love interest during his younger years.
The third installment of the Dabangg franchise is a Prabhudeva directorial. The movie also stars Arbaaz Khan, Mahie Gill, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Promod Khanna. Dabangg 3 is a production of Salma Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Nikhil Dwivedi under the banner of Salman Khan Films. It will release on December 20, 2019.
