#FunDrinks:Mint Lemonade Recipe

Mint lemonade- green juice, for people with tastebuds. I’ve been on a real lemonade kick recently, and my garden has been on a real mint kick for the past two years. There’s mint *everywhere*. So, I ventured into mintlandia, grabbed a few sprigs, and ran before the bees attacked me. Our local bees are fond of mint. Then the mint, the enormous bag of lemons I sweet talked my mom into getting from Costco, and just a pinch of sugar did a good thing. A very, very good thing.
INGREDIENTS
4 lemons
8-9 sprigs mint
2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
Lemson

Start by boiling the sugar and water together. It’s fine if it turns a caramel-y color! While it’s boiling, juice all the lemons. Don’t throw out the squeezed lemons, reserve them to flavor the lemonade.

Let the sugar/water mix (which is called simple syrup) cool for a bit. Did you know you can buy simple syrup? I can’t believe people are buying sugar water that takes 2 minutes to make yourself. America, home of the free(?), land of the instant. While the syrup is cooling, wash the mint. Even if you bought it in the store, it might have some grit on it. If you find any, send it to Congress.
In a large jug or dispenser, mix the lemon juice, squeezed lemons simple syrup, and mint. Chill it for 4-6 hours, and enjoy!
Use the lemon juice and simple syrup  as a base lemonade recipe, for strawberry lemonade, raspberry lemonade, or berry lemonade!
