No matter how many superhero movies do we watch and love them, there will always be that one superhero who will always be irreplaceable, he is none other than our own dad.
Today, on this Father’s day we celebrate it by remembering some of the coolest fathers we saw in the Bollywood. They made us laugh, cry, love and smile at the same time. Read on to revive your memories:
- Anupam Kher – Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (DDLJ):
Be it a comic role or a villainous act, Anupam Kher is one of those actors who can win your heart with his outstanding performances. But one of his best roles that we can never forget is Raj’s (Shah Rukh Khan) ‘pops’ in the movie DDLJ. While watching it we all wished that our dads could be like Anupam Kher, but I am sure we all got Amrish Puri as dads in real.
- Gajraj Rao – Badhaai Ho:
Badhaai Ho has become everyone’s favorite the way it made us all laugh. The main reason behind all the laughs was none other than the supercool Jeetendra Kaushik (Gajraj Rao), Nakul’s (Ayushmann Khurrana) papa. Be it being sarcastic or being loving or going against all odds, Nakul’s dad won our hearts with the way he treated his children and even his family.
- Kamal Hassan – Chachi 420:
How far a dad can go to meet his child, after watching this movie, I must say more than a lot. Here the loving father (Kamal Hasan) becomes a lady to stay connected with his baby girl (how cool does this sounds). He has fun meeting her daughter and does all the fun that a child deserves with the father.
- Anil Kapoor – (Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga):
Be it cool or quirky or loving or happening, Sweety’s (Sonam Kapoor) dad is all of them in the movie Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. This movie told us how our dads are gonna be with us no matter what the society or other members of the family think about it. If he knows you have your intentions right, he will be there holding your hands, always. Also, if your dad stands beside you, it’s like all the world is with you after all aren’t our dads our whole world.
- Irrfan – (Hindi Medium):
Agree to it or not, we all know how scared are our dads when it comes to winning against mom. Moms are always the winner, be it by sense or by cheating. Maybe dads like it this way, letting her woman win, no matter she’s right or not. In this movie, this cute dad does the same. Knowing the road is wrong, he walks along with his wife with a very clear intention for the betterment of their kid. Because dads always want the best for their kids.
Isn’t this the time to thank our dads. For all the fun moments, small fights, emotional times and all the love that we share with him.
