#TreeofLife: Deadly Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting

On a beautiful Saturday morning in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania eleven worshippers arrived at the Tree of Life Synagogue ready to attend a Jewish naming ceremony. They were all excited and ready to celebrate their Jewish faith, but little did they know they would not make it out alive. On October, 27, 2018 a gunman shot eleven worshippers and injured two others in the Synagogue. Furthermore, some officers were still fired upon as they first responded to this hate crime. Ultimately, four police officers were injured by the gunman.
This is to be believed as the deadliest attack against the Jewish community in the United States.

Suspect Robert Bowers is charged with 29 criminal counts, including eleven federal hate-crime charges. Additionally, he has eleven counts of using a firearm to kill carry a maximum penalty of death.
Subsequently, many celebrities and politicians tweeted about this attack. Former President Barack Obama expressed his opinions by encouraging people to fight the rise of anti-Semitism.
Even television host Ellen DeGeneres tweeted to call for everyone, despite any political differences, to support and love one another. She advocates for everyone to respect each other’s beliefs in our world.
