The movie that released when I was 8 (soon to turn 9) was a perfect film that we enjoyed as kids and yet enjoy today. The movie received the National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues and was screened at the Jerusalem Film Festival and the NatFilm Festival in Denmark.

As the film completes 15 years today, we take a look at 5 really amazing scenes and characters from Koi… Mil Gaya that make us yet watch it even today.

Jadoo

The alien who when visiting earth helps an innocent earthling overcome his shortcomings won our hearts. The blue body-huge eyed creature who got lost on our planet granted special power to the mentally handicap boy-man. Till date, we bet many still spread their fingers like our loving Jadoo.

Basketball Match

When Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) and his chillar party took on the Kasauli Tigers in a basketball match, we all caught our breaths in the first half, before laughing out loud during the second. As much as we loved the playing – the commentary wasn’t far behind in making us go ROFL.

The computer genius

This scene showed us that if you put your mind to something, you can – and will – overcome all obstacles. We all cheered on for the underdog who gave it back to the rude professor.

Songs

No Bollywood movie is complete without songs – even if its promotional songs. Koi… Mil Gaya is no different and had an assortment of different songs that conveyed all sorts of emotions. From a sweet and innocent In Panchiyon Ko to a dance number like It’s Magic and a romantic track like Haila Haila, we loved – and still love – them all. The songs were composed by Rajesh Roshan with lyrics by Dev Koh.

Comedy especially Johnny Lever

Johnny Lever is one of the best comedians this industry has ever had. He has such incredible comic timing, that inspite of a small role all his scenes are memorable.
