The half year of 2017 is over now, and this period has given us enough movies to cringe upon. No I’m not talking about the ones we expected to be a flop, but those which had huge stars and was even promoted well. Yes, some of these movies have disappointed us and how!!

‘Rangoon’
We had high expectations from Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan coming together in a movie, which also featured Kangana Ranaut. The movie was promoted on a grand scale too, and being a Vishal Bhardwaj movie, we expected a lot of magic, but alas, all that we received from ‘Rangoon’, was major disappointment.
‘Raabta’
Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon look cute. We were overjoyed hearing that they might be a thing in real-life too. But it does look like these cuties weren’t destined for such a good future, at least on the silver screen.
‘Half Girlfriend’
We have been cringing at the thought of this book being converted into a movie. Then we couldn’t digest the pairing of Arjun Kapoor with Shraddha Kapoor. And like we expected, the story wasn’t appealing in the movie.
‘OK Jaanu’
‘OK Jaanu’ was the hint. We as an audience clearly have seen much better masterpieces by Mani Ratnam, but pairing up Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor was like ‘OK Jaanu, bass ab bahut ho gaya.’ Find a new pair, a better story and stick to what you’ve done best, Mani sir.
‘Sarkar 3’
Amitabh Bachchan has saved Ram Gopal Varma’s career through ‘Sarkar’ franchise. However, in spite of his good acting in ‘Sarkar 3’ too, RGV gained more power here and the film became an expected story, and the only thing we could love here was Big B and Jackie Shroff.
