#ValentinesDay: Top 5 couples of the Harry Potter series!

People who are familiar with the Harry Potter series know that it is a tale filled with adventure, mystery, and action. But J.K. Rowling has included a fair share of romance in this fantasy story. In honor of Valentine’s Day, we present to you the top 5 power couples of the Harry Potter series! *Spoiler Alert: if you haven’t read or watched the series, some of these couples may come as a surprise to you!*

Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley

Even Harry Potter, the chosen one, has time for a girlfriend and a much needed romantic affair in the midst of fighting off those death eaters and dementors! Ginny’s initial obsession with Harry turns into an adorable romantic relationship that blossoms between the two. Not to mention that Ginny and Harry are both extremely powerful wizards and truly exemplify power couple status with their magical skills!

Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley

Even though these two, along with Harry, have been best friends since day 1, we never would have guessed that Ron and Hermione end up together! Yet it doesn’t seem so unlikely if you read the books or watch the movies looking for clues of their forthcoming relationship. Ron and Hermione’s romance is a love-hate relationship of sorts, with Hermione initially hating Ron but eventually coming to love and appreciate him in the end.

Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks

Lupin and Tonks are one of the unconventional couples in the Harry Potter series, but like Ginny and Harry, these two are also definitely power couple status! Despite the fact that Lupin is a werewolf and Tonks is a metamorphmagus, they seem to make their relationship work. Their magical prowess fighting against death eaters and evil forces is as fierce as their love for one another.

George Weasley and Angelina Johnson

This is a couple that is not frequently talked about in the books or the movies. All we hear about their initial romance is that George and Angelina attend the Yule Ball together. Their time spent in Quidditch together probably served as the courtship period for this duo. We wish they were given more screen time in the movies!

Molly and Arthur Weasley

Another power couple in this series, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley serve as parent figures for Harry but are much more than that. Not only are they both part of the Order of the Phoenix, they have also raised 7 kids together, which is no easy feat in the magical world. Arthur’s light sense of humor complements Molly’s discipline and loving nature, so these two are perfect halves of each other!
