Akshay Kumar meets some of the true "Airlift" heroes at Air India

Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar along with co-star Nimrat Kaur paid a visit this week to the office of India’s national airline – Air India, which played a crucial role in evacuating a record-breaking number of Indian citizens stranded in Kuwait during the 1990 Gulf War, a feat which saw India’s national carrier included in the Guinness Book of World Records for enabling the most people evacuated by a civilian airliner. The company had helped in evacuating 170,000 Indian civilians through 488 commercial flights over a period of 59 days.
