The film received a lot of love from the audience and the box office numbers are proof of that. The film continues to draw in a crowd, even after being in theaters for three weeks and has currently crossed the 100 crore mark. It earned 108 crore in just twelve days.
A recent box office report reveals an interesting comparative of Tanu Weds Manu Returns with previous box office hits in and prior to 2015. Not only is Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ second week collection (28 crore) the highest of this year, but it also crossed the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone mega-hit film, Chennai Express (23 crore). Overall, Tanu Weds Manu Returns comes in fifth after films like PK, Krrissh 3, Dhoom 3 and Kick for the second week collections ensuring that both Kangana and the film are in the big league with Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, etc.
