Binge Watching Netflix!

Spread the love

It’s summer time and some of us like to spend our lazy days on the internet, and when there’s nothing interesting happening on the internet we resort to our next friend, Netflix. (Sometime it can be a devil too).

After I wind down after a long day of work, I typically like to watch something before falling asleep, but in high hopes that what ever I watch it will make me sleepy. Instead, lately, I have been watching TV shows on Netflix which are the worse and mad addicting.

It all started on January 1, 2015 when Netflix decided to put all ten seasons of the oh-so famous 1994 sitcom, FRIENDS on there. I think I watched all ten within a month. I was born in ’94 so never had the chance to see the show live, but I always did see the show out-of-order between 4pm-5pm on ABC family Monday through Friday. The excitement of seeing the six friends for a month, immediately with no ads from beginning to end was so stimulating yet saddening at the same time.

Next I started watching Tina Fey’s 30 Rock! I will be honest, maybe not the best show to choose after Friends but it helps me fall asleep.

In between I looked for another show, until a friend of mine recommended a Netflix series, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. This one is by Tina Fey and it’s quite quirky and fun and as any show, it has a good moral to each episode. I finished the entire first season in two weeks and was saddened that there weren’t more already up there for me to see.

Now I discovered a show which isn’t just comical, but will actually have you in real-life tears and then laugh at the same time. And maybe I am way behind the game as I just discovered this show was out on television in 2014, but Chasing Life, is such an amazing show and I am close to the end of the first season which I began last night at 10pm and was up till 6am this morning watching it! YES it’s that good! Definitely lot’s of emotions and lot’s of life lessons and reality checks, but it is such an excellent show.
