The Shaukeens has elicited laughter riots across India with its release today. Bollywood celebrities are taking to the social networking giant Twitter, to express their reactions to the film within a few hours of its release. It looks like everyone’s loving it!

Actress Sonakshi Sinha tweeted after the film was specially screened for some Bollywood celebrities. The actress was last seen opposite Akshay Kumar in their film Holiday and she only had praise for her former co-star,
“Watched the Shaukeens yesterday! Fell off my chair laughing. Not to miss! All the best @akshaykumar and team :)”
Bollywood director, producer and writer Kunal Kohli enjoyed the film too. He tweeted today,
“#TheShaukeens is a laughter riot. Go watch it guys!”
Prabhudeva, known to be one of Bollywood’s most successful choreographers, said, “Wishing @akshaykumar sir all the best for the release of The Shaukeens! Looking forward to watching it!” while Atul Kasbekar, who is among India’s most popular fashion photographers, went all out with his appreciation for the film and its cast. His tweet read, “#TheShaukeens is a laugh riot. @akshaykumar @AnupamPkher n pals – superb! N it’s clear why men of all ages get bowled over by @HaydonLisa”
Neha Kakkar, who has lent her voice for Yo Yo Honey Singh’s track ‘Manali Trance’ from the film, tweeted saying, “The wait is over #TheShaukeens is in theatres now 🙂 Go watch it guyssss!!!! B) @TheShaukeens #ManaliTrance <3”. Even television actor, compere and television host Manish Paul posted an update saying, “#TheShaukeens awesome film!@akshaykumar sir at his best!!@AnupamPkher sir piyush sir n anu kapoor sir kamaal trio!!!super direction sharmaji”.
‘The Shaukeens’ is a remake of 1982 comedy movie ‘Shaukeen’ directed by Basu Chatterjee. It stars Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra and Lisa Haydon along with Akshay Kumar in his most special appearance. Produced by Cine1 Studios, Cape Of Good Films and Ashwin Varde Productions and directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film released on November 7, 2014.
