Ajay Devgn gets nostalgic on the sets of Himmatwala!

Ajay Devgn is one of the biggest superstars we have in Bollywood today.  He solidified his place in the industry as an action star and then transitioned to comedy later.  Regardless of how long he has been in the industry, and the success he has achieved, he has not forgotten his earlier days in the industry!

The story goes that the actor was recently shooting for Sajid Khan’s highly anticipated Himmatwala remake at Shell Bharat Petroleum in Chembur.  This location is extremely close to Devgn’s heart, as his yesteryear hit and debut movie, “Phool Aur Kaante”, was shot at that very same venue back in 1991.

The debut movie had made him a superstar overnight!  So, it is no surprise he got so nostalgic and journeyed down memory lane.  The actor remembered everything about the place including the route to get there and was heard telling his team various incidents from his “Phool Aur Kaante” days!

Devgn was extremely happy to see that the colony was still as beautiful as it was before.  The lush plants and serene atmosphere made him enjoy shooting there all the more.  In a city where most locations are polluted and commercial, Devgn was surprised to see that the colony was maintained so well!  It’s great to hear that such happy memories are still so vivid in Devgn’s mind!

Considering the venue brought him much success for his debut, we bet that Himmatwala will also be a lucky and succesfull movie for Devgn.  Directed by Sajid Khan, Himmatwala is slated to release on March 29th, 2013!
