Sanjukta Dutta, Architha Narayanam, Poshpride and WNW all showcased at India Fashion Week SS 19
Day 3 of the coveted Lotus Makeup presented India Fashion Week SS 19. The theme ‘The Tribe of the World’ showcased 4 designers and also their collections.
Sanjukta Dutta
Epitome of elegance and beauty, Tabu opened the show! Tabu opened the show for the Sanjukta Dutta Label.
Furthermore, Sanjukta Dutta joined Tabu on stage to show her rather unique handcrafted label of elegance! The designer’s latest collection includes signature Mekhela Chador. Similarly, it has structured sarees, flowy-gowns, drape-skirts and Indo-westerm lehengas. It showed the elegance of women in all walks of life hence redefining traditional Indian wear!
Architha Narayanam
Adding her own glam next was actress Prachi Desai. The actress dazzled for Architha Narayanam‘s Label. The collection, ‘Gardern Rose’, celebrates womanhood.
With jewelery from Shivam Gold and Diamonds, Prachi Desai wore the pieces with such poise. The designs were as a result of the inspiration of crafts from Iranian and Central European tribes.
Iranian culture was shown in the design due to it being woven into western wardrobes to become more modern. The patterns and textures were part of Qashqai tribes. Cross stitches, dots and the different use of colours showed the beauty of these tribes.
Posh Pride
Fashion icon, Athiya Shetty set the stage with Posh Pride. Inspired by the “Made in India” movement. Posh Pride‘s collection showed a muse of a city girl who is modern. The girl is swept away by seduction and intrigue. She is strong and carefree, moving with poise but staying true to her individual aesthetic.
The garments celebrated sensuality and realism. It aimed to show an everyday wardrobe. The pieces were bold and created a femininely sensible look to the world with it’s masculine tailoring.
WNW
The show ended with Yami Gautam walking for WNW. Their collection ‘Dejhoor’, was a blend of Kashmiri and regal Victorian styles. It showed the willingness of a bride to be almost experimental and regal looking.
Dejhoor represented the soul of Kashmiriyat. The essence of beauty and symbolic towards weddings with feminine grace. Every piece was unique towards a woman’s desire and reflects her inner beauty above all, in her wardrobe.
The Dejhoor collection aspires to show everything that WNW stands for – the epitome of perfection with a futuristic look resulting in a regal birth of elegance!
The 4 designers showcased their collections. Each collection showed the different places perceive fashion. It represented elegance, style and fashion through a different perspective.
