Most heroes wear a cape. Our hero, well not it isn’t a cape exactly. Our hero does not need fancy gadgets or a costume to save the day and neither should we. That is the crux of Akshay Kumar’s latest film, ‘Padman‘.

Post the success of ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha‘, Akshay Kumar is back with yet another light-hearted comedy with a social message.
Written and directed by R Balki, the much-talked-about motion picture comes from producer Twinkle Khanna and features Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in the cast. ‘Padman‘, which tells the tale of real-life hero Indian entrepreneur Arunachalam Muruganantham who invented the low-cost sanitary pad-making machine bringing cost-effective female hygiene to India’s rural poor, releases on January 26th across North America and in cinemas worldwide.
