Nikhil Suresh: an LA-based music producer shares his take on working in the industry

Nikhil Suresh, who has worked with several musicians, bands and singers in Los Angeles, has been pivotal in shaping the rock music scene. He has worked with top bands in both the U.S. and India, including the band “Quarantine” and the U.S.’ “Art of Decay”. 

Unlike a majority of other colleagues in the entertainment/music industry, Suresh believes in taking a step back from social media, and letting your work speak for itself. 

Suresh has taken down his social media handles, and explains to the clients he collaborates with that social media adds to one’s pressure and can take away their creativity. 

“You end up chasing something that isn’t even real … for artists, that really takes away the creativity that you actually have.” 

In Suresh’s recent project ‘Grahastha”, he uses the project to emphasize that musicians and artists are not content creators, and therefore, their social media shouldn’t have any impact on their careers. 

Suresh’ new cover just released on August 12th, and follows his artistic journey and unique outlook on the entertainment industry. 

“Art is something that can have a lasting impact on you … and for me it was with Nirvana, where I remember listening to their songs, and that influenced my cover.” 

Suresh credits Nirvana for having an immense impact on not only his journey, but also on his own personality.
