Hemant Pandey Thrilled To Be Part Of Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s Shankar Jay Kishen 3 In 1

Actor Hemant Pandey, who is playing the role of Babbar in Siddharth Kumar Tewary and Rahul Kumar Tewary’s (Swastik Productions) Shankar Jay Kishen 3 in 1, is ecstatic about being part of the show.

Working with Swastik Productions for the first time, Hemant says that it has been an amazing experience so far.

He said:

“My role is that of Kishen’s friend, Babbar. It is a comic character. Kettan (Singh), who plays the role of Shankar is my friend, which is why we are hardly acting, it is all very real. I am working with Swastik for the first time and I feel that I am part of a big family on the set. I have always lived in a joint family, so I know the feeling of a big, healthy family and working with Swastik is exactly the same. The team is awesome, the atmosphere is very healthy and positive. All my co-stars are also great.”

Known for his shows such as Office Office, Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi and films such as Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Yaariyan and Krrish, Hemant says that he has learnt so much from other actors in his career.

“There is no one person who has inspired me. In my entire career, I have come across many artists. I learn from the senior artists, their experiences and sometimes, the younger artists, too, have to offer something new. So I keep learning from everyone.”

The television industry has grown over the years, says Hemant.

He added:

“There are many changes. It is all about the mentality of people, it changes with every generation. Every generation expects something new. The time when I was working in the show Office Office, there was more importance given to the director. Now there are many people, there are the creative team and other people working on the sets. So there is more scope and money.”

Hemant, who is known for his comic timing, says that Bollywood has become more accepting of comedy as a genre and traces of it can be seen in mainstream cinema as well.

“I think the audience have become more accepting and open. They have started accepting lead comic actors. In fact, I have done many movies as a lead comedian, such as ‘Chal Guru Ho Ja Shuru’, ‘Prakash Electronics’, as well as my upcoming movies ‘Raju Bajrangi’ and ‘Plane’. With actors like Kapil Sharma coming up, comedy has become necessary in films”.

Hemant, who hails from Uttrakhand, says that he is still associated to the state.

The actor said:

“I am the state minister of Film Development Board. Not many people know this, but I have a small flat in Dehradoon. I don’t own any service cars, though a minister should have security and service cars. But I don’t believe in that. I only believe in development and helping others. I am also the ambassador of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Mission in Uttarakhand. I invest all my salary from the Development Board for that mission and other small activities like opening of theatre workshops and providing books and clothes for the poor and needy.”
