Celebrities raise the issue of child abuse after heart-wrenching video of a kid went viral

Recently a heart-wrenching video of a kid went viral, in which she is made to study by the teacher, who is probably her mother. While most of the people shamelessly shared it on social networking sites because they found it funny. A few people raised their voice against the child abuse.

Indian cricket team captain Viral Kohli posted the video on a photo sharing website and wrote,

“The fact that the pain and anger of the child are ignored and ones own ego to make the child learn is so massive that compassion has totally gone out of the window. This is shocking and saddening to another dimension. A child can never learn if intimidated. This is hurtful.”

Not just Kohli, but even Robin Uthappa took up the task to share his feelings about the video.

“This is heart-wrenching!! This needs to stop!! Children should never be raised this way. I hope and pray we can grow out of this mentality,”

Uthappa wrote.

Shikhar Dhawan too followed suit and expressed his displeasure by writing that it’s one of the most disturbing videos he has come across.

Entertainment publicist Himaanshu Shuklaa slams those who shared the video saying that it’s funny. He said,

“The video is distressing, but what’s more pathetic is that some people are finding it funny. How can you laugh after seeing the innocent kid crying and pleading?”

The PR professional further added,

“The video is an example of poor parenting. The lady who is screaming and hurling abuses needs basic primary education and should be put behind the bars.”

Akash Gill will be seen as an effeminate in Rolling Pictures and Taurus Media’s show ‘Rishton Ka Chakravyuh‘ requested the parents to stop this torture. He said, “The kids, who are our future should be treated with a lot of care and love. The trauma of child abuse permanently inscribed onto a person’s genes and affects their ability to deal with stress. This can increase the likelihood of suicidal ideation, we need to stop this immediately.”

Mahakumbh‘ fame Payal Rajput, who made a debut in Punjabi film ‘Channa Mereya‘ as main female lead opposite Punjabi singer Ninja said,

“I am feeling sad for the innocent and helpless kid. Children are innocence souls and parents should act mature with them.”

“The kid is enacting one of the parents in the family, they generally behave like this when they see domestic violence on a regular basis, so parents should work on themselves first. And treating kid or teaching him like this is obviously wrong and cruel,”

said Ravi Bhatia, who did several popular shows like Jodha Akbar and Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se.

Rahulram Manchanda, who is currently seen in Esselvision’s show ‘Vani Rani‘ on &TV found the video quite disturbing. He said,

“It’s absolutely terrifying. How does one have the heart to abuse a child in such a manner? The shameless lady not only recorded the whole thing, but also shared it through some social networking medium, because of which it went viral. She continued to abuse the kid and even slapped her, ignoring the innocent kids’ pleas.”
