On World Television Day, actor Akshun Mahajan reflects on his journey with honesty, gratitude, and deep admiration for the medium that shaped his artistic identity. Praised for his sincerity and strong screen presence, Akshun continues to impress audiences. His recent performance in Colors TV’s Manpasand Ki Shaadi once again highlighted his dedication to meaningful storytelling.

For Akshun, television became a turning point in his life. He shares that stepping into the industry felt completely unfamiliar at first, even after assisting in films for six years.

“When I first entered the television industry, it was an alien space for me because I had come from films. I thought I knew the game, but it was actually a game-changer for me because it broadened my horizons,” he says.

He explains how the medium allowed him to see stories evolve in real-time and pushed him to explore new layers of performance.

“I was introduced to a more diverse way of storytelling, which gave me a front row seat to incredible talent. I was able to test my capabilities as an actor,” he adds. Watching senior actors adapt effortlessly to different scenes inspired him deeply. Akshun even jokes that television has now become “a great excuse to binge-watch my favourite shows.”

Speaking on how Indian television has changed, Akshun believes the growth has been remarkable.

“We haven’t actually moved per se, but we’ve transformed. Indian TV blends mythological epics, contemporary stories, and socially relevant themes. It’s more inclusive, innovative, and entertaining than ever,” he explains.

He feels honoured to have been part of this evolution.

“I am proud and more than honoured to have played a lead in a Rajshri Productions show. It was good while it lasted, and I’m grateful,” he shares.

On this special occasion, Akshun Mahajan celebrates television as a medium that shaped him, challenged him, and continues to inspire millions across the country. The talented actor, who will next be seen in the upcoming OTT film Rocket, remains hopeful and excited about the new opportunities ahead.
