Udne Ki Aasha reveals Sachin’s Childhood while Kanwar Dhillon impresses!

One of the most-awaited revelations unfolded this week on Udne Ki Aasha. Viewers finally got to learn about what happened in Sachin’s childhood and how he got separated from his home. Whilst it provided some riveting drama, it also delivered a standout performance by Kanwar Dhillon, who plays Sachin on the show. Read to know more about these!
Following Ranjeet’s exposé, Sailee was naturally left wondering what the secret was about Sachin’s past, which even Ranjeet used to instil doubt in her mind as he was being arrested. In a tear-jerking scene on a bridge, Sachin revealed that as a kid, he looked up to Tejas because Renuka offered him so much love, and ignored him. Sachin felt that maybe if he tried to become more like his elder brother, he might receive the same love too. He told Sailee that when Tejas was being bullied by a boy named Ankit in school, he accidentally pushed the boy down the stairs, and the boy has remained in a coma up to now.
It was in a moment between Paresh and Sachin at home, where viewers and Sailee found out that it was Tejas who pushed Ankit, and Sachin took the blame for him. Sailee has not told Sachin that she knows about it, as Sachin is worried about how the dynamics of the family would change after Renuka finds out the truth.
As we break away from the story for a bit, one cannot go without acknowledging the fine performance Kanwar Dhillon pulled off in the revelation sequences. The scene on the bridge with Sailee made me teary-eyed as I saw Sachin talk about his love for Tejas, and later learned about his sacrifice. And this emotion that gets stirred in you is because of the actor’s portrayal and his ability to dive deep in Sachin’s life and story. It was not the rain, and it was not the chartbuster song, it was truly Kanwar Dhillon’s performance that took centre stage, and everything else was just an accessory. Kudos to Kanwar once again for stellar sequences.
Now the story has made me and many viewers think about the deep damage that Sachin, and honestly, even Tejas, has undergone. By being called a criminal again and again, Sachin has along the line, psychologically accepted that he did push Ankit. Tejas, on the other hand, leads a life of complacency and illusion because even he, somewhere psychologically, accepted that he hasn’t done anything. And it begs the question as to why Paresh, being the elder and head of the family, has not rectified things all these years. No oath to a young child should have been bigger than doing what’s right. To add to the problems, even Renuka has been living a false reality, and it’s as if Paresh had the key to everything all along. Let’s not forget there’s a pending truth about Sachin and Tejas’ Kundali too, which Paresh is yet to disclose.
We have immense respect for Paresh, but it will feel a little unsettling as viewers to now see these characters go about these false realities they have created and are living. Or is this a commentary on how we all end up living false realities from time to time? Only time will tell!
