Actress Dipali Sharma is a star on the rise, and her next project sees her starring opposite Avinash Mishra in TV czarina, Ekta Kapoor’s next series, Pyaar Sey Bandhe Rishte. She chats about this and more!
If not an actor, what would you have been?
Honestly, I can’t even imagine myself doing anything else. Acting is not just a profession for me—it’s something I chose over everything, even after leaving engineering. It’s the only space where I truly feel like myself. So, if not acting, I really don’t know what else I’d be doing, because this is all I’ve ever wanted.
What made you say “Yes” to this show by Balaji Telefilms?
Actually, my last two projects were also with Balaji Telefilms, and I had a really good experience working with them. This is my third project with the team, but it feels extra special because I’m playing the lead this time. And honestly, who wouldn’t want to work with Balaji Telefilms? On top of that, the script of Pyaar Se Bandhe Rishte really stood out to me — it’s strong, emotionally rich, and my character, Saanchi has a lot of depth and layers. That makes it both exciting and challenging for me as an actor, and I saw it as a great opportunity to grow.
The show will be streaming on YouTube – not the conventional OTT or TV. How do you feel about this?
I’m genuinely excited about it! Balaji Telefilms has always been a pioneer in innovative storytelling, and being part of their first-ever YouTube series feels truly special. Broadcasting on YouTube offers a more viewer-centric approach compared to traditional TV, as it allows audiences the flexibility to watch or re-watch episodes at their convenience. Earlier, TV shows aired at specific times, and missing an episode often meant missing out entirely. But now, viewers have the ease and comfort of watching whenever and wherever they prefer, making this shift beneficial and refreshing for both audiences and us as performers. And i don’t think there is anything wrong in trying something new.
Wishing Dipali Sharma all the best for the show!
