Abhishek Singh, a popular name in the Bengali film industry, is now making waves on Hindi television. After portraying a negative lead in Rishton Ka Manjha in 2022, the talented actor has been roped in for the much-loved and widely discussed show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin as a negative parallel lead once again.
This time around, Abhishek steps into the shoes of a sharp, confident, and strikingly good-looking officer. Polished in speech yet cunning in nature, his character is set to stir trouble for Bhavika Sharma’s character. Reportedly playing her senior, his entry is expected to spark intense twists, especially given the show’s ongoing love dynamics surrounding Savi. While the role might attract strong reactions from fans, especially those rooting for Savi’s romance, it underlines the importance of versatility in an actor’s craft.
With a strong body of work in Bengali cinema, Abhishek has several film leads to his credit. His upcoming Bengali release Jaisalmer Jomjomat is set to stream on an OTT platform soon, and another project titled Jazz City is also lined up for release on Sony LIV.
Speaking about his role, Abhishek shares,
“this character had shades I’d love to take on and experiment with, plus the show is hugely loved. Hindi with TV films or OTT was something I was looking at and while on one of my visits to Mumbai for a shoot i happened to meet the makers of GHKKPM and the rest as they say is history. I have begun shooting for it and am quite loving the newness of it all. I had done Rishton ka manjha in 2022 so to now do this feels nice hope i get recognised and my work and efforts get its due.”
With Abhishek Singh’s exciting addition, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin promises more drama and complexity—something fans will no doubt be eager to watch unfold.
