The upcoming drama Meri Bhavya Life, produced by Sunjoy Waddhwa and Comall Sunjoy Waddhwa under their acclaimed banner Sphereorigin, is already generating buzz for its progressive take on themes of body positivity and self-worth. Known for delivering iconic shows like Maan, Desh Mein Nikla Hoga Chand, Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar, Shaurya Aur Suhani, Balika Vadhu, Tere Mere Sapne, Gangaa, Balika Vadhu 2, and Internet Wala Love, Sphereorigin’s latest project brings a compelling and timely story to Colors.
At the center of the narrative is Bhavya (played by Prisha Dhatwalia), a gold medalist and exceptionally talented architect. Despite being plus-sized, Bhavya carries herself with strength and confidence. After being abandoned at the mandap by a man more enamored by her father’s status than her spirit, she doesn’t crumble — she rebuilds her life with courage and conviction. Her journey is soon complicated by the entry of Rishank (Karan Vohra), a fitness-obsessed charmer whose ideals are in stark contrast to hers.
Bringing another dynamic character into this vibrant ensemble is actress Khyaati Keswani, who steps into the role of Sakshi Jaiswal. Sakshi is a status-conscious matriarch driven by appearances and societal approval. As she makes her Colors debut with a role that challenges stereotypes, Khyaati portrays a woman who is polished on the outside but shaped by ambition and quiet insecurity.
Speaking about her role, Khyaati Keswani shares,
“Sakshi is the kind of character that’s layered with quiet fire. On the surface, she’s a graceful, composed woman, but beneath that lies ambition, insecurity, and an almost desperate need to be seen as ‘enough.’ What excited me about Meri Bhavya Life is that while it tackles big themes like self-worth and body image, it does so through deeply personal family dynamics — power equations, social pressures, and the roles women play behind closed doors. Sakshi is neither villain nor victim — she’s just trying to win in a world that’s constantly changing the rules. She is very proud of Rishank but is well aware that Bua Maa holds a far more influential place in his heart. That insecurity is what drives her to overcompensate — she wants nothing but the most dazzling bride for him, a choice that has often led to hushed gossip and frayed friendships in her kitty circuit. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have this show mark my second brush with after Dil se Dil Tak.”
Set to premiere on April 30, Meri Bhavya Life will air daily at 7:00 PM on Colors. With its multi-layered characters, emotional depth, and social relevance, the show promises to offer a fresh and meaningful addition to Indian television.
