Urban Asian’s Top 30 Men of Television 2024

This year it was clear that the audience does not care about the gender of the character or personality. What matters are the values and the things they stand for. The year saw many men challenging stereotypes and pouring their hearts in to their work. It is now time for us to present to you the Top 30 men who made an impact on television for 2024!

Please note: This list is not based on any kind of voting, popularity or ratings. It is a list presenting 30 of the most impactful men on television for the year. We love and appreciate every actor equally and there are many actors who could not be fitted into the list. The list takes into account work done on Television only – no OTT work or music videos are considered.  We also do not recommend comparing lists with previous years as each year begins from scratch.

 

30. Neil Bhatt

Neil Bhatt had an eventful 2024. After making appearances on Dance Deewane 4 and later for a special episode of ‘Suhaagan,’ he returned to acting in the social drama Megha Barsenge where he plays the role of Arjun Talwar. Neil delivers a sincere performance and adds the right touch to the character which calls for positive change.

29. Rohit Suchanti

Bhagya Lakshmi continued its run on Zee TV this year and the show saw its first major leap. Rohit Suchanti was not only seen as Lakshmi’s supportive husband but as a father too. Rohit was able to bring the required maturity and sensitivity to the role and made the scenes between him and his children even more magical. His chemistry with Aishwarya Khare (Lakshmi) remained another plus point of the show despite the major involvement of the show’s villain.

28. Vicky Jain

As someone who is not an actor, Vicky Jain deserves applause for managing to make his mark on television and leaving an impact. At the start of the year, Vicky was seen in Bigg Boss 17 where he became one of, and arguably the best player of the season, and unfortunately got evicted just before the finale. Not too long after, he was seen making an appearance on Dance Deewane 4 to cheer the contestants and gifted them too. Vicky became a bigger household name with his participation on Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment where he was partnered with his wife Ankita Lokhande. Together, the two demonstrated their cooking skills and had the audience laughing with their banter and interactions with the rest of the cast. Vicky also made a guest appearance on Bigg Boss 18 for a Laughter Chefs related task inside the house.

27. Ankur Verma

Ankur continued to deliver a sincere performance as Rajeev Bajwa in Parineetii. The show saw a big leap this year and led to him and Anchal Sahu refreshing their chemistry which is one the main attractions of the show. Ankur’s portrayal of a more sorted Rajeev this year, made everyone admire him all the more!

26. Shagun Pandey

Mera Balam Thanedaar began at the start of the year and has experienced fantastic growth throughout. Shagun Pandey’s portrayal of IPS Veerpratap Singh has been received with a lot of love and admiration by the audience. Shagun’s chemistry with Shruti Choudhary was another plus point to the show and it’s clear that Shagun is one of the most promising young actors.

25. Zain Imam

This year we got to see the ever handsome and charming Zain Imam return to our screens. Seen as the aspiring politician Teerth Mittal in Suman Indori, Zain clearly gives a character and performance that will stand out in his filmography. The character is more than meets the eye, as despite being a loving and caring husband, he is actually using his wife Suman for his political gain. Zain manages to balance the opposing sides of his character well and his pairing with Ashnoor Kaur is one of the cutest on our screens! As the audience looks forward to seeing how his character evolves, they also look forward to seeing how Zain evolves in the role too.

24. Paras Kalnawat

Paras Kalnawat has become an actor with much to offer as demonstrated by his portrayal of Rajveer Luthra in the long running Kundali Bhagya. From the sweetness of his love story with Palki (Adrija Roy), to the resistance to his father’s love, and the face-offs with his brother, Paras made Rajveer an endearing character for sure. One can certainly say that Paras being part of the next generation of this show was one of the best decisions!

23. Krushal Ahuja

Krushal Ahuja became one of the sensations of the year with his role of Aniruddh in Jhanak. Krushal has managed to capture hearts with his performance and chemistry with Hiba Nawab on the show. Despite the often complex situations in the story, he has been able to maintain the love for his character with his dedication and intensity he brings to the role and show.

22. Vijayendra Kumeria

Vijayendra Kumeria was seen playing Angad Singh Brar for most of the year in Teri Meri Doriyaann. The show had taken a leap during the year, which saw Angad also being a father. He made the role quite an iconic one and his chemistry with Himanshi Parashar was lovely too. Vijayendra is an actor of high calibre and he proves it with his role of Dev Chaudhary in Deewaniyat which premiered towards the end of this year. The actor knows how to get deep into the character marking a strong distinction between the characters he has played.

21. Shalin Bhanot

Shalin Bhanot made a return to our screens with Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, and had even appeared on Laughter Chefs for the show’s promotion. Shalin, known for his comedy and innocence, not only entertained viewers and co-contestants on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, but also faced the stunts well and became a finalist on the show. Whatever the show, Shalin sure knows to make his mark and win the hearts of the audience.

20. Hitesh Bharadwaj

Hitesh Bharadwaj made his entry into the long-running Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin this year. Playing the role of Rajat Thakkar, Hitesh made it clear that he has the skill and screen presence to captivate viewers. It was certainly not easy for him to become the new hero of the show, but he beat the odds and aced his performance as a son, father, and Savi’s (Bhavika Sharma) husband. His portrayal helped make Rajat became a much-loved character in no time.

19. Sai Ketan Rao

Not one but with two roles is how Sai Ketan Rao left viewers amazed in 2024. At the start of the year in Imlie, he was seen continuing his role of Agastya but the character died leaving many sad. However, Sai was back as Inspector Surya Pratap Reddy, a character with a massy feel to it. Sai nailed both characters this year and his onscreen chemistry with Adrija Roy also received much love from viewers.

18. Shakti Arora

For the first half of the year, Shakti Arora was seen as Ishaan in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. His performance and chemistry with Bhavika Sharma on the show received immense appreciation from viewers. Ishaan’s death on the show was heart breaking for viewers, and his comeback is certainly awaited.

17. Gaurav Khanna

Gaurav Khanna remained a favourite among viewers of Anupamaa. The character underwent many changes on the show this year but Gaurav’s screen presence and portrayal of Anuj continued to leave a mark on the audience. Even after his apparent exit, his chemistry with Rupali Ganguly and the love story between Anuj and Anupama continue to inspire and leave viewers in awe.

16. Dheeraj Dhoopar

Dheeraj Dhoopar entered Rabb Se Hai Dua this year after the show took a generation leap. Playing the role of Subhaan Siddiqui, Dheeraj proved his versatility and charm. Dheeraj solidified his place as an actor one can depend on to deliver compelling performances which leave the audience at the edge of their seats and waiting for more.

15. Aashay Mishra

He’s an actor on the rise and he’s Aashay Mishra! The actor returned to our screens this year with Durga – Atoot Prem Kahani, where he plays the role of Anurag. Aashay has always been a fine performer, but this time, it’s becoming known far and wide that he is an actor of excellence. His chemistry with Pranali Rathod is beautiful and refreshing too. As a progressive male character in a social drama, it’s a pleasure to watch Aashay making his mark as an actor with the role too.

14. Avinash Mishra

Avinash Mishra had quite the 2024. In April, his show Meetha Khatta Pyaar Hamara debuted and the love triangle saga managed to receive a lot of love during its run. Avinash played the role of Shivam, a chef who got married to Sajeeri but was actually in love with her friend Saachi. Not too long after the show’s closure, Avinash was seen in Bigg Boss season 18, where he made himself a strong talking point and hard to ignore force on the show.

13. Mishkat Varma

Mishkat Varma has undoubtedly left a lasting impact on viewers this year with his portrayal of Adhiraj Pradhan in Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon. Mishkat was able to seamlessly infuse the charm and intensity required for his role, making Adhiraj a memorable character. His chemistry with Sumbul Touqeer Khan was another highlight on the show as the two were able to make their pairing a standout one.

12. Ankit Gupta

Ankit Gupta managed to spread his charm and screen presence in Maati Se Bandhi Dor where he was seen as Rannvijay this year. Ankit received much love and appreciation for his role from fans. The actor is clearly able to stand out in any project, just like this one, which combined both an urban and rural backdrop.

11. Vivian Dsena

2024 saw the return of Vivian Dsena to our screens and after years of declining, he finally entered the Bigg Boss house. The actor is currently inside the house for the show’s 18th season – Bigg Boss 18, and through his popularity, calmness, and charming demeanour, he has been receiving a lot of love from the audience.

10. Abhishek Kumar

Abhishek Kumar has had a year filled with growth. The young and rising star began his year as the runner-up of Bigg Boss 17. He later appeared on Dance Deewane 4 for a special Bigg Boss 17 integration. He then appeared as a guest on Laughter Chefs to promote Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 which began around the middle of the year. Abhishek performed his stunts well and became a finalist on the show. Along with that, he added humour with his poems and unique usage of English!

9. Rohit Purohit

Stepping into the shoes of an existing character can be quite a daunting task especially on a popular show. However Rohit Purohit not only managed to make Armaan from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai his own, but also elevated the character with his performance and dedication. As the show consistently provides engaging family dilemmas for the audience, Armaan is often caught in the middle of it all. Rohit is able to portraying this complex character in a way that resonates and makes you feel for the character too. It would be incomplete if we don’t mention his sparkling chemistry with Samridhii Shukla as #AbhiMaan became a smash hit in 2024.

8. Gashmeer Mahajani

The audience favourite of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 was undoubtedly Gashmeer Mahajani, but what made him stand out is his determination and unique style with which he performed stunts at ease. Gashmeer also entertained the audience and fellow contestants with some comedic acts and shared some details about his habits and routines many may not have known before. Gashmeer emerged the second runner up of the show but became the winner in many hearts.

7. Ram Yashvardhan

Words are never enough to describe the performance and energy Ram Yashvardhan brings to his role of Lord Shiva in Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Tandav. Ram continued to excel in his role while also taking on other characters and avatars on the show. During the year, he was also seen in a negative role of Jalandhar, and the light-hearted Babul.  Throughout the show it is clear that versatility and excellence is what the actor brings every time, transforming the show into a wholesome and elevating experience for the viewer.

6. Karan Kundrra

This year Karan Kundrra continued to win hearts as he returned to our television screens with Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment. Before Laughter Chefs, he also appeared on Dance Deewane 4 for the show’s promotion, and also had an appearance on Star Plus’ Ganesh Chaturthi special ‘Khushiyon Ka Shri Ganesh.’ It was of course his participation in Laughter Chefs that had viewers laughing and entertained. Karan shared a fun and comedic chemistry with his partner Arjun Bijlani. Armed with his love for carrots and lots of positive energy, Karan also tried his best to showcase some cooking skills. While he won gold stars with Arjun on the show, he certainly won hearts all over too!

5. Sujay Reu

Sujay Reu easily becomes one of the most impactful performers on our screens with his unforgettable and endearing performance as Lord Ram in Shrimad Ramayan. Sujay was able to bring forth every aspect of his role clearly and portrayed the depth of the character in a way which reached and resonated with the masses. His performance and chemistry with his co-stars onscreen also helped elevate the viewing experience of the show.

4. Karan Veer Mehra

At the beginning of the year, Karan Veer Mehra was seen portraying Vaibhav in Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si. The unique and modern romance show saw Karan in a negative role which he executed with finesse. Not too long after the show’s closure, he was seen in a cameo on Pukaar – Dil Se Dil Tak. The actor appeared on Laughter Chefs to promote the 14th season of Khatron Ke Khiladi. During KKK14, Karan proved his skill and focus and emerged the winner of the show. There was no stopping Karan as after this, he entered the Bigg Boss 18 house where he is currently competing and has emerged as a front runner of the season.

3. Kanwar Dhillon

Sachin Deshmukh became a character known in every household this year as Udne Ki Aasha took flight on our screens. Bringing the sometimes rowdy but soft Sachin to life is Kanwar Dhillon who delivers his career best performance (so far) in the role. The unique, and standout male character is backed by Kanwar’s powerful performance which was able to bring out every shade of Sachin in the best possible way. The Maharashtrian boy from a middle class family resonated with the masses worldwide and the actor certainly played a big role in it. His chemistry with Neha Harsora also became one of the USPs of the show, and Kanwar Dhillon as Sachin is undoubtedly the performance we want to see for a long time to come. The actor also hosted Teej and Janmashtami specials for the channel during the year.

2. Arjun Bijlani

Arjun Bijlani once again had a bumper year showcasing different sides of his talented persona. On Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya Shiv Shakti, his role of Dr Shiv remained an endearing one with his fine performance, and the character had even gone into a child-like state of mind during the year. Arjun once again proved why he is a sought after actor given his versatility. Along with this, Arjun participated on Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment where he was paired with Karan Kundrra. Arjun showcased his charming and funny personality along with his culinary skills which earned him and Karan many stars too. Prior to Laughter Chefs’ premiere, he appeared on Dance Deewane 4 as a guest which saw him reuniting with judge Madhuri Dixit Nene, and yet again, everyone pulled his leg about being her brother! Bijlani was seen as a host this year too, as he returned to Star Plus to host their annual Star Parivaar Awards. As the world celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi, Arjun Bijlani also welcomed viewers into his home and celebration with Star Plus’ ‘Khushiyon Ka Shri Ganesh’ special which aired for the festival.

1. Fahmaan Khan

The actor who is able to keep on giving, and delivering back to back captivating performances… yes, it’s Fahmaan Khan! Krishna Mohini brought to the fore an important topic, and Fahmaan’s portrayal of Aryaman Mehta is one to be remembered for a long time! It was evident that the actor poured his entirety into the character and along with his portrayal of a progressive male character, his chemistry with Debattama Saha was impeccable. Despite the show’s short run, Fahmaan’s portrayal of Aryaman lives in fans’ hearts rent free. Not too long after Krishna Mohini, he was back in a completely different avatar. Playing a Sardar for the first time in Iss Ishq Ka Rabb Rakha saw Fahmaan proving his versatility yet again as the actor makes everything look so effortless despite the challenges that come with playing a character with a strong cultural backdrop. With exceptional talent and ability to deeply connect with audiences through his compelling performances, Fahmaan Khan has cemented his place as an actor and personality sure to elevate any show he becomes part of.
