So far, the story has shown the backstory of King Dasharath, Ravan, and how the sons of King Dasharath were born. A lot of the information in the opening episodes were eye openers and never told before, making the viewer better understand the figures and their nature.
One thing for sure is that Shrimad Ramayan does not just meet our expectations but exceeds them! Never before have we seen such magnificent visuals which make us feel like we are being directly transported to Ayodhya during Treta Yug.
The cast excel with their performances, making you eager to see more of them as the story progresses. Be it Aarav Choudhary as King Dasharath or Shilpa Saklani as Queen Kaikeyi, Surender Pal as Maharishi Vasisht, Jiten Lalwani as King Jhanak, every single cast member shines in their roles. Nikitin Dheer’s performance as Ravan is also nothing short of a revelation!
Ram and Sita are yet to meet in terms of the story, but Sujay Reu and Prachi Bansal’s appearance as Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi showed scope for great chemistry. Deep purity is visible in the both of them, and we cannot wait to see them embrace their roles.
It is again clear that Siddharth Kumar Tewary treats his shows with the tenderness and grandeur they deserve. It is great to see historical shows finding their rightful place in our lives again, and no one better than him to do that, be it with Shiv Shakti Tap Tyaag Tandav and now Shrimad Ramayan too.
