2023 brought us another great year of television. We saw many men who ruled our screens with their charm, and progressiveness too. We decided to have a look at 30 men who made an impact with their work on television this year.
Please note: This list is not based on any voting or any measure of popularity. It is simply a list presenting 30 of the most impactful men on television for the year. We love and appreciate every actor equally and there are many actors who could not be fitted into the list. The list takes into account work done on Television Only. We do not recommend comparing lists with previous years as each year begins from scratch.

30) Pravisht Mishra
Yeh Hai Chahatein was another show that took a generation leap this year, and saw Pravisht Mishra playing the role of Arjun. Pravisht has given another memorable role to the audience, and has showcased his fine acting once again!
29) Jay Bhanushali
Jay Bhanushali made a long awaited return to fiction this year with Sony TV’s Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum. His performance as Shivendra Barot won the hearts of the audience as he pulled off a complex role so effortlessly. Jay also hosted the third season of India’s Best Dancer this year.
28) Rajveer Singh
Rajveer Singh began his year in Star Plus’s ‘Rajjo’ which enjoyed a good run on screens. It was in July 2023 when Rajveer’s new show Neerja – Ek Nayi Pehchaan began. Playing the role of Abir, who was initially mentally unstable, Rajveer wowed the audience with his skills. His chemistry with Aastha Sharma, who plays Neerja, has also received a lot of appreciation from the audience.
27) Krishna Kaul
Kumkum Bhagya continues its glorious run and is no doubt an iconic show of television. Krishna Kaul plays Ranbir, who took the story forward with Prachi as the second generation of the show. Krishna’s performance and chemistry with Mugdha Chaphekar continues to be a fan favourite.
26) Rohit Chandel
Pandya Store took a generation leap this year and Rohit Chandel made a dazzling entry into the show with his role of Dhawal Makwana. Rohit impressed the audience as Dhawal, and his style, his swag and ability to convey various emotions so effortlessly really caught the attention of viewers. Another major talking point was his sizzling on-screen chemistry with Priyanshi Yadav who plays Natasha on the show.
25) Mohit Malik
Actor Mohit Malik returned to our television screens this year, and it was indeed with a bang! Playing the role of Kunal Malhotra on Star Plus’s and Rajan Shahi’s Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, Mohit once again amazed the viewers with his fine acting and versatility.
24) Paras Kalnawat
Zee TV’s popular and long-running show Kundali Bhagya took a big leap this year and introduced Preeta and Karan’s sons, one of them being Rajveer played by Paras Kalnawat. Paras helped make the character so lovable and pure, and Paras’ chemistry with Sana Sayyad has been well-received too.
23) Arjit Taneja
Arjit Taneja was seen in Colors’ comedy show Entertainment Ki Raat Housefull. After this, he was seen participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 13. Arjit performed exceptionally well on the show, and emerged as the runner-up. He made a return to fiction in November alongside Sriti Jha on Zee TV’s Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye.
22) Shaheer Sheikh
Shaheer Sheikh remains one of the most loved actors, and his journey on Woh Toh Hai Albelaa continued this year. His role of Krishna aka Kanha on the show, received immense love from viewers. Shaheer is no doubt one of the stars that continue to shine with their fine performances and positive aura.
21) Munawar Faruqui
Munawar Faruqui finally made his way to our screens this year, and it was with Bigg Boss 17! The comedian and rapper has been able to win hearts right from the start, and viewers have many reasons to love and support him.
20) Abrar Qazi
Abrar Qazi and his role of Samrat in Yeh Hai Chahatein was a continuous talking point during the year. Abrar excelled in his role and definitely gave a memorable character to the audience. After his exit from the show, fans wished to see him back, and their wish came true as he joined the cast of the ever popular Kumkum Bhagya as Rajvansh Malhotra.
19) Dheeraj Dhoopar
Dheeraj Dhoopar made the headlines this year for his role as Raghav Jindal in Star Bharat’s reboot of Saubhagyavati Bhava. Dheeraj received a great response for the unique and interesting character and once again proved he is one of the best performers on screen.
18) Rohit Suchanti
Zee TV’s Bhagya Lakshmi is one of the most popular shows. Rohit Suchanti continues to win hearts in his role of Rishi Oberoi on the show. Through the ups and downs of Rishi’s love story, Rohit managed to shine. His chemistry with Aishwarya Khare is also must-watch reason for fans.
17) Adnan Khan
Katha Ankahee is undoubtedly one of the most popular shows of the year. Adnan Khan, who played Viaan on the show, amazed the viewers with his fine performance and sparkling chemistry with Aditi Dev Sharma.
16) Nakuul Mehta
After Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 went off-air, fans of Ram and Priya were sad but luckily, Ram and Priya returned with a third season of the show. Nakuul Mehta never failed to impress viewers in his role of Ram Kapoor, and many of his dialogues from the show were quite a hit and resonated with viewers.
15) Ankit Gupta
After a good stint on Bigg Boss 16, Ankit Gupta bagged Colors’ musical drama Junooniyatt, where he played Jahan. Ankit’s acting and overall presence on the show was continuously praised by fans and they are always ready to support any work he is part of.
14) Kanwar Dhillon
Kanwar Dhillon continued to wow the audience as Shiva Pandya for most of the year until the show took a generation leap. Kanwar’s acting was commendable on the show, and fans cannot wait to see how the actor surprises everyone next.
13) Neil Bhatt
For much of the year Neil Bhatt was seen in his popular character of Virat in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. As the show took a generation leap, Neil also bid the show after two years. Fans of the actor were thrilled to see him back on-screen as he became a contestant of Bigg Boss 17 along with wife Aishwarya Sharma.
12) Shakti Arora
Shakti Arora was part of the popular Kundali Bhagya until the show took a big leap. Not long after, fans of the actor got to see him back on-screen in the second generation of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. His role of Ishaan received a lot of love, and became a fan-favourite in no time!
11) Ram Yashvardhan
An actor who performs with full excellence – Ram Yashvardhan. Ram has been playing Shiva in Colors’ Shiv Shakti Tap Tyaag Tandav. The actor plays the divine Lord Shiva with full conviction and through every chapter of Shiva’s journey; he has impressed everyone with his acting prowess. His chemistry with Subha Rajput is also admirable.
10) Sai Ketan Rao
Actor Sai Ketan Rao ruled the television screens this year. He kicked off the year in Chashni where he played Raunaq, and fans loved seeing him in the bubbly character. In the second half of the year, Imlie on Star Plus took a generation leap, and Sai entered the show as Agasthya Singh Choudhary. Sai’s performance as Agasthya has been impressive, carefully portraying the soft and tough sides of the character.
9) Shalin Bhanot
Shalin Bhanot began his year in the Bigg Boss 16 house and emerged a finalist on the show. In the grand finale of Bigg Boss 16, television czarina Ektaa Kapoor, announced Shalin as the lead of her new show Bekaaboo, and the show debuted a few weeks later. Shalin played Ranav, a ‘rakshas’ who falls in love with an angel Bela. Shalin’s performance in the unusual and interesting character won the hearts of the audience.
8) Vijayendra Kumeria
One of the standout actors for the year is undoubtedly Vijayendra Kumeria for his role of Angad Singh Brar in Teri Meri Doriyaann. His performance has been praiseworthy and so is his chemistry with Himanshi Parashar. The actor has truly been giving his all to the much-loved character.
7) Gaurav Khanna
One of the most popular male characters on television is Anuj Kapadia from Anupamaa. Not only Anuj, but the actor behind the role-Gaurav Khanna, is also a hit among the viewers of the show. Fans continued to praise the actor all year round and shared their love for his chemistry with Rupali Ganguly.
6) Karan Kundrra
Karan Kundrra made a bumper comeback to fiction on television with Colors’ fantasy fiction ‘Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal’ where he played Veer. Fans lauded his performance of the grey-shaded character, and were sure to praise him on social media. He and partner Tejasswi Prakash also continued to be a talking point, and he along with Tejasswi, was part of Color’s Entertainment Ki Raat Housefull.
5) Abdu Rozik
Another much-loved alumnus of Bigg Boss! Abdu Rozik started off the year in the Bigg Boss 16 house, but sadly had to leave the show a few weeks before the finale. While viewers were upset, Abdu was still pretty much in action throughout the year. He was seen on Colors’ Entertainment Ki Raat Housefull, and also joined the contestants of Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 as a guest on the show. Abdu was also seen displaying his acting talent on Zee TV’s Pyar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan during the year.
4) Arjun Bijlani
Actor and host Arjun Bijlani appeared on Entertainment Ki Raat Housefull on Colors early in the year. He then began hosting India’s Got Talent for the second season in a row. Arjun made a return to fiction with Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya Shiv Shakti, where he plays the role of Dr Shiv. Arjun’s performance is indeed praiseworthy on the show. He also hosted Star Plus’s Star Parivaar Awards 2023, making him a personality who has been present on many of Hindi television’s top and global channels.
3) Harshad Chopda
Abhimanyu Birla has been a fan-favourite character of television since Harshad Chopda’s entry on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Until November, he continued to amaze everyone in his role and had to bid the show farewell due to a generation leap. Fans love almost everything about Harshad and they certainly cannot wait to see him back.
2) Fahmaan Khan
Fahmaan Khan continues to win hearts with both his acting and all-round personality. The actor was seen as Ravi Randhawa for most of the year in Pyaar Ke Saat Vachan-Dharam Patnii on Colors. He was also seen on Entertainment Ki Raat Housefull, where he explored his comedic side too. Fahmaan has a strong connection with his fans, and always has a positive message to convey to his audience through his work.
1) Shiv Thakare
If there’s any name that’s been a constant talking point, it’s Shiv Thakare! Shiv began the year in the Bigg Boss 16 house, and emerged the runner-up of the iconic season. His impact on the show makes him one of the most loved and memorable contestants of all-time. He was then part of the comedy game show, Entertainment Ki Raat Housefull where he had a ball of a time. Viewers got to see him in a new, dare-devil avatar on Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, where he became a finalist. Shiv then began his journey as a contestant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 which returned to Sony TV this year. On every show, Shiv was sure to win hearts and his impact and influence on people worldwide is massive making him rule both the television screen and hearts in 2023.
