karllagerfeld: The House of KARL LAGERFELD shares, with deep emotion and sadness, the passing of its creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, on February 19, 2019, in Paris, France. He was one of the most influential and celebrated designers of the 21st century and an iconic, universal symbol of style. Driven by a phenomenal sense of creativity, Karl was passionate, powerful and intensely curious. He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy as one of the greatest designers of our time, and there are no words to express how much he will be missed.

Iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has passed away in Paris marking the end of an era. Karl was a German creative director, fashion designer, artist, photographer and caricaturist who lived in Paris. He was known as the creative director of the French fashion house Chanel, a position he held from 1983 until his death, and was also creative director of the Italian fur and leather goods fashion house Fendi, and of his own eponymous fashion label. He collaborated on a variety of fashion and art-related projects. He has recognized for his signature white hair, black sunglasses, fingerless gloves, and high, starched detachable collars.

The celebrities around the world are sending tributes for this legendary icon.

Katy Perry Tweets “Today’s #TuesdayShoesday is dedicated to @karllagerfeld 🕶 – I always aim to combine style and humor, a little TONGUE IN CHIC, just like him 👅👠”.

Surprisingly some of the celebs did not spare the man on his last journey calling him a misogynist.

Jameel tweets: I’m glad somebody said it. Even if it is a little soon. A ruthless, fat-phobic misogynist shouldn’t be posted all over the internet as a saint gone-too-soon. Talented for sure, but not the best person.

There is a mixed reaction on the internet, but the man will surely be missed for his talent. #RIP Karl.
