She stated, “This film broke me a little — and it built me a lot”. Deva demanded almost a full year of shooting, filled with waiting, figuring things out, and navigating real exhaustion. “I struggled most days on this project,” Kubbra admits. “But tough situations have a strange way of working on you. They build resilience, create deep bonds, and force you into a stronger relationship with yourself.”

Portraying Dipti Singh proved to be a turning point. A woman conditioned not to trust her instincts even when they are right Dipti presented a layered emotional contradiction that stayed with Sait long after filming wrapped. “Living inside that contradiction pushed me in ways I didn’t see coming,” she says, acknowledging how deeply the role impacted her inner landscape.

As Deva completes a year, the film holds special significance for Sait as her first theatrical release of 2025 a milestone rooted not just in professional achievement, but in personal evolution. “Growth isn’t always pretty, but it is powerful,” she reflects.

Celebrating the film’s anniversary, Kubbra extends her gratitude to the team behind Deva, particularly Roy Kapur Films, for a journey that left her stronger, more grounded, and undeniably transformed. “Happy one year to a journey I won’t forget. You made me solid,” she signs off, sending love to the team she continues to miss.
