Know how Shanoo Sharma helped Shaan R Grover and Aneet create magic on screen in Saiyaara

Shaan R Grover, who essays the role of Mahesh in the recently released film Saiyaara, has opened up about the special bond he shares with casting director Shanoo Sharma and how her guidance played a key role in shaping his performance.

 

The actor revealed that Shanoo, who has been a constant source of support in his journey has not only trusted his potential but also invested her time to ensure that his pairing with Aneet looked organic and effortless on screen.

Sharing his experience, Shaan said,

“I have to give full credit to Shanoo ma’am. She really believed in the pairing of Aneet and me, and to make sure our chemistry looked effortless on screen, she personally conducted 3–4 workshops with us before we started shooting Saiyaara. Those sessions really helped us open up, understand each other better, and bring that comfort and ease into our performances.”

Shaan went on to add that what makes his bond with Shanoo so special is her eye for detail and her belief in him as an actor. Over the years, she has been someone he could turn to for advice, and with Saiyaara, her involvement gave him an added sense of confidence.

“With Shanoo ma’am, it never feels transactional. She treats her actors like family, and that warmth reflects in the way she works. For me, she has been a mentor, guide, and friend, all rolled into one,” Shaan has often said about her.
